Traffic Court Records in Wilson County
County traffic cases land in Wilson County General Sessions I and II. Those courts also handle misdemeanors. Call the clerk at 615-444-2045 or visit 115 E High Street in Lebanon. For an online docket search, use TNCRTINFO. Select General Sessions and Criminal as the case type. The county payment page repeats that instruction. There is no separate traffic button, which throws people off. Yet Criminal is the official county route.
City tickets stay with their city court at the start. Lebanon runs its own City Court with police quick links. Mount Juliet sends people to its Records/Court Unit and PMFO payments. Watertown relies on City Court and WPD contacts. What matters is the issuing agency and court printed on the citation. It is not where the driver lives. An appeal or transfer can later open a record in a receiving court. Just do not expect that file in the county portal under the old ticket number.
Wilson Traffic Venue Map
The most common mistake is hunting for every ticket in TNCRTINFO. Lebanon, Mount Juliet, and Watertown municipal courts are simply not among its court choices. Save the county portal for a Wilson County General Sessions matter. All three cities sit inside Wilson County. Even so, a city-issued citation starts with that city's own clerk.
| Issuing venue | First record route | Contact clue |
|---|---|---|
| Wilson County | General Sessions plus Criminal in TNCRTINFO | 615-444-2045 |
| Mount Juliet | Records/Court Unit or PMFO payment link | 615-773-6289 |
| Lebanon | Police traffic quick links and City Court | 615-443-2839 |
| Watertown | City Court or WPD citation line | 615-237-3326 or 615-237-3225 |
How to Look Up a Traffic Ticket
A county-issued Wilson County traffic ticket can be searched by party name, case year, or the last numeric part of a case number. There is no citation-only field, and the portal runs a Turnstile challenge before you get in. City tickets are different. The cities offer no public docket search form, so use the citation itself, any payment link, the court phone, or the counter. A payment page finishes a transaction. It is not the full traffic court record.
- Read the citation for the issuing court, number, charge, date, and response deadline.
- For county traffic, search TNCRTINFO with General Sessions and Criminal selected.
- For city traffic, use the city contact or official payment and citation instructions.
- Call or visit the issuing court when no online record appears or a deadline is close.
- Confirm the current date, plea or payment status, costs, and copy method with that court.
Select Criminal for Wilson Traffic
The Wilson County court payments page tells drivers to pick Criminal for every traffic citation. That applies to the county payment route only. It does not turn a city ticket into a county case. And a criminal docket entry is not automatically a traffic matter.
In the public case search, set Court Type to General Sessions. Set Case Type to Criminal. When a formatted case number looks like 99GS1-2023-CR-12345, search just the last numeric segment. The portal help says entering 12345 is the way to go. Save the exact case number from the result for any clerk request.
Wilson Payment Page View
The official Wilson payment source shows the court payment sections and the traffic instruction.

The county payment page itself shows Criminal as the selection for traffic. It stays a transaction route, though, not a docket viewer.
Finding Your Traffic Court Date
Start with the citation when you need a Wilson County traffic court date. For a county matter, compare it against the newest event or setting in TNCRTINFO. Call General Sessions if the two disagree. City cases should go through the issuing city's line. Watertown posts court on the second Tuesday of each month except December. Even that deserves a confirmation call. A continuance, reset, default, or later order can push the hearing past the date first printed on the ticket.
| Citation or case number | Use the printed number; county search may take only its last numeric segment. |
|---|---|
| Court | General Sessions or the named municipal court. |
| Date and time | The current appearance or hearing setting, subject to later court action. |
| Location | The address or room supplied by the issuing court. |
| Status | Pending, paid, set, defaulted, or disposed as the custodian confirms. |
Mount Juliet's 45-Day Choice
Mount Juliet's bilingual citation instructions lay out the county's clearest city decision tree. You get 45 days to choose. Pay and plead guilty, plead not guilty and request a hearing, or request traffic school if eligible. PMFO is the online payment spot for eligible current citations. Past-due tickets must be handled in person at the Records/Court Unit.
The sheet warns that doing nothing can bring a default judgment, extra collection costs, and a possible license suspension. It also notes that one citation can carry up to five violations. Online transactions may need a letter after the ticket number. The instructions date to 2021. So confirm current amounts and process with the citation office at 615-773-6289.
Paying or Contesting a Ticket
Paying and contesting create very different court events. Payment follows the issuing court's guilty or resolution route. Contesting means using that court's not-guilty or hearing request process instead. Never ask for a trial through a payment screen. County tickets follow Wilson General Sessions instructions, while each city sets its own procedure and deadline.
| Paying the Ticket | Contesting the Ticket |
|---|---|
| Uses the issuing court's payment and plea route | Uses the issuing court's not-guilty or hearing route |
| Must meet the citation or court deadline | Must be requested by the stated response deadline |
| County payment page or city-authorized method | General Sessions or the named city court |
Missed Court Date or Deadline: Call the issuing court at once. Mount Juliet warns of default judgment, collection, and possible license suspension, and a county clerk cannot reset a city case.
Wilson City Tickets Stay Separate
A Lebanon or Watertown ticket will not simply appear in the county portal. Lebanon's charter makes its City Court clerk keep a full docket. But the city offers no online search fields for it. Its police quick links cover payment, traffic school, verification, and indigency resources. Watertown posts phone numbers and monthly schedule routes yet provides no docket viewer. Mount Juliet spells out payment steps in the most detail. Even so, PMFO handles transactions rather than showing a public docket.
For a hearing date, a copy, or a status, call the city clerk that holds the case. Turn to the Wilson County General Sessions docket only when the citation names the county. Staff confirming the case moved there works too.
Court Traffic Record vs Driver Record
Two separate records, two separate keepers. The traffic court file lives with Wilson General Sessions or the issuing municipal court. The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security holds the driver record instead. A court docket can show the charge, the plea, each setting, the judgment, costs, and payment. But state reporting is separate. It follows its own laws and its own agency procedures, apart from anything the Wilson County court file says.
| Court Traffic Record | Driver Record | |
|---|---|---|
| Kept by | Issuing court or clerk | Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security |
| Shows | Citation, plea, setting, disposition, costs, payment events | Reported convictions and licensing actions |
| How to get it | Court lookup, phone, counter, or copy request | Separate state agency request |
Wilson Traffic School Is Local
Traffic school is not one county-wide option. Each city sets its own rules. Mount Juliet's criteria demand a moving violation under 20 mph over the limit, no school or other moving violation in the prior three years, no commercial driver license, and no arrest at the stop. Its dated sheet lists $229 for speeding and $226 for another moving violation, calls the payment nonrefundable, and bars online school. Lebanon posts a traffic-school link but no single fee table. Watertown runs no general traffic-school program at all.
Eligibility comes from the issuing court, nowhere else. A course taken without approval should not be assumed to change the Wilson County traffic court record.
Fees and Copies
Wilson County General Sessions fee material lists a certified first page at $5. Each added page is 50 cents. Those are copy charges, not a total due on a citation. Municipal amounts differ. Mount Juliet's 2021 sheet lists a $28 administrative fee for stated nullifiable violations. Watertown lists a $25 administrative fee for certain nonmoving matters dismissed before court. Lebanon publishes no single current fine schedule. The General Sessions fee source shows copy and other court charges in the official division schedule.

The live division page matters here. Treat no single listed charge as the total due on a citation.
| Item | Fee | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| General Sessions certified first page | $5 | Confirm with the clerk |
| Each added certified-copy page | $0.50 | Published county schedule |
| Mount Juliet listed nullifiable fee | $28 | Dated 2021 instructions; verify |
| Watertown certain pre-court dismissals | $25 | Eligibility set by City Court |
No Wilson Camera Portal Found
Wilson County, Lebanon, Mount Juliet, and Watertown each run no separate red-light or speed-camera docket portal. That silence is limited. Do not read it as proof that automated enforcement can never exist. If a camera citation arrives, follow the issuing notice and the court it names.
Copies follow the same rule. Ask the issuing court for the case record itself. A police crash or incident report is a different agency record. It cannot replace the traffic docket, the plea, the judgment, or the payment history.
Wilson County Citation Routing
Who wrote the ticket decides where the record sits. A Wilson County General Sessions citation follows the county's search and payment instructions. A city citation does not become a Wilson County General Sessions case just because the city sits inside Wilson County. With a Wilson County case number in hand, keep the court type and the final numeric segment intact. Without one, call the Wilson County clerk before any deadline passes.
A payment receipt and a docket entry are different products, too. Ask the Wilson County clerk for the case history, current setting, disposition, or certified copy. The payment screen never shows those.
